How to Submit a Core Pickup Request and What to Expect in the Core Return Process

Engine cores are the heart of the remanufacturing process, and the core return process plays a vital role in keeping that cycle moving efficiently. By reusing these essential components through each core return, we reduce waste, save energy, and uphold the high standards Gearhead Engines is known for. Every returned core provides valuable materials that can be restored to like-new condition, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability. Step 1: Submit Your Core Pickup Request

Start your core return process by visiting www.corepickup.com and submitting your pickup request.

  • Select a Contact Person who will manage all communication.

  • This person receives all emails and phone calls related to your pickup, ensuring a smooth experience.


Step 2: Receive and Attach RMA Labels for Your Core Return

After you complete the request, ATK sends an email to the contact person with RMA labels.

  • Print the labels and attach them securely to the crate.

  • This step helps us match your core return to the correct order and prevents delays.


Step 3: Schedule Pickup with Echo Logistics

Next, Echo Logistics contacts the listed person to arrange a pickup date and time.

  • After scheduling, Echo emails the Bill of Lading (BOL) documents.

  • Print the BOL and include it with your return core before the driver arrives to keep your core return process on schedule.


Step 4: Prepare for Pickup Day

Before pickup day, confirm that everything is ready.

  • Verify that the BOL is printed and attached to the shipment.

  • Make sure someone is available on-site to meet the driver and sign for the pickup.

  • These steps ensure your core return proceeds without interruption.


Step 5: Confirm Core Receipt

Once the driver collects the crate, it travels to our processing center.

  • As soon as we receive the core, you get an automated confirmation email.

  • This notice confirms successful delivery and continues the core return process toward refund completion.


Step 6: Refund Processing

Finally, we issue a credit to the original payment method used for your purchase.

  • Refunds begin after inspection and typically appear within 2–3 weeks.
