Gearhead Engines is a leading national supplier of remanufactured engines, transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials. We’re a fast-paced, growth-focused company serving both retail customers and automotive shops nationwide.

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Social Media & Content Marketing Associate to take the lead on growing and managing our brand presence across all social platforms while supporting broader digital marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities:

Social Media Management (Primary Focus):

  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging organic social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)

  • Develop and manage a monthly social content calendar aligned with promotions, products, and brand voice

  • Create social graphics using Canva (or similar tools) and write engaging, on-brand post copy

  • Monitor social channels daily for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities

  • Respond to basic customer inquiries or route them to the appropriate department (Sales, Support)

  • Track and report monthly performance metrics across all social platforms

  • Stay on top of social media trends and competitor activity to suggest new content ideas and engagement strategies

  • Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams for timely promotions and campaign support


Content Support:

  • Assist with light blog content writing and publishing (WordPress or similar CMS)

  • Support reputation management efforts by helping respond to online reviews and customer comments


Light SEO Support (Secondary Responsibility):

  • Conduct basic keyword research

  • Assist in optimizing blog posts and product descriptions for SEO (meta tags, alt text, etc.)

  • Help pull monthly SEO performance data


Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of professional social media management experience (in-house or agency)

  • Strong graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar tools

  • Excellent written communication with the ability to write for brand voice

  • Familiarity with social scheduling tools (ex: Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or Buffer)

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and campaigns at once

  • Proactive and eager to learn new marketing strategies

  • Comfortable reporting daily/weekly accomplishments and tracking performance metrics


Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in the automotive industry or with parts/service businesses

  • Basic SEO knowledge (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, etc.)

  • WordPress or CMS experience

  • Email marketing or Zendesk knowledge
